Caught off guard! As soon as September entered, there was news in the market that dyeing fees would rise! Before the order came, there was a wave of price increases!
Notice of increase in dyeing fees
On August 30, a dyeing factory in Wujiang issued a notice: due to steam, chemicals, etc. The cost has increased significantly, and the dyeing fees for some products are now increased by 0.02 yuan/meter to 0.1 yuan/meter.
After investigation, the vast majority of printing and dyeing factories in Wujiang have not increased their dyeing fees. The above-mentioned manufacturers’ increase in dyeing fees is an extremely rare phenomenon. Cloth bosses do not need to panic. The overall dyeing fee in the current market is still in a stable state.
Although it has entered September, the off-season is still lingering, and the printing and dyeing market is generally active. The number of gray fabrics dyed this week only increased slightly compared with last week. Most dyeing factories have an average operating rate of over 70%. There are still not many orders for domestic sales, mainly brand clothing orders, and most of them are small quantities and multiple orders, and large orders are still cautious. Even market orders are only placed in a small part, and the quantity is not large. The epidemic abroad continues, foreign trade orders are still showing no improvement, and foreign trade dyeing orders are slightly less. Therefore, as far as the current situation of the printing and dyeing market is concerned, it is unlikely that dyeing fees will be increased on a large scale.

At the end of August, although the entry of gray fabrics into warehouses rebounded slightly to about 400,000-500,000 meters, it was not sustainable and there was a lack of hot-selling products. The price of steam has indeed increased, but the quantity currently entering the warehouse is not large, and the dyeing fee will not increase for the time being. If there are more orders in the future, the price is likely to increase.

Another salesperson from a printing and dyeing factory also said that the dyeing fee in the factory is currently stable, and the price increase mainly depends on the number of orders received. If the peak season comes later and orders increase, there is no guarantee that the price will increase.
As we all know, when there is a lack of orders in the off-season, price reduction seems to be the only bargaining chip for textile workers. Printing and dyeing factories are no exception. Although there is no clear notice of reduction in dyeing fees, when discussing with salesmen, there will often be a small reduction in dyeing fees, especially for large orders, where there is greater room for a reduction in dyeing fees. However, when orders increase and production is obviously crowded, the room for negotiation on dyeing fees will gradually decrease, and most of them will return to the normal quotation. Price increases based on the original quotation are very rare, and will not be easily raised unless absolutely necessary. . Especially in recent years, the overall market atmosphere has been weak, and the competition between printing and dyeing factories has also invisibly amplified. A slightly higher dyeing fee may mean the loss of customers, so price increases are still particularly cautious.
Dye prices have fallen back, and dyeing costs have increased
Although the current collective increase in dyeing costs is unlikely, there are still positive factors. In mid-August, dye prices bottomed out and the price of dispersed black increased by 1,000-2,000 yuan/ton! In late August, the price of dispersed black was raised again, from 22,000 yuan/ton to 23,000 yuan/ton, an increase of 10%. Last year, dye prices continued to decline in March, but as the textile market improved in the second half of last year, dye prices began to fall back one after another. This year is likely to usher in another market boom, and with the arrival of the traditional peak season, some orders are bound to improve, and dyes may rise again. Dye superimposed on steam, the two types of costs increased, and boosted by the traditional peak season, dyeing fees also took the opportunity to rise.
Peak season or shipping congestion, expedited order fees will increase
In the second half of the year, the most common orders in dyeing factories are market orders. Once such orders are placed, their crazy quantities and delivery times will set off a “bloody storm” in the dyeing factories. Queues, jams, warehouse explosions, etc. occur, and shipping on time has become Boss Bu’s biggest headache. At this time, “urgent orders” appeared one after another, which was actually a disguised increase in dyeing fees. The total dyeing fee price obviously became higher. In addition, the price of dyeing fees for various products across the board is also about to increase.
Summary
Generally speaking, the current increase in dyeing fees is an isolated phenomenon, but cloth bosses still need to be prepared for the increase in dyeing fees in the future. Prepare.
