These requirements can be summarized as high specific strength, high specific modulus, high wear resistance, high fatigue resistance, moderate Excellent toughness and interlaminar shear strength, low friction coefficient and cost. With the improvement of loom production efficiency, the weft insertion cycle is getting shorter and shorter, and the requirements for rapier belts are getting higher and higher. Therefore, non-metallic flexible rapier tapes have been widely recognized in use for their many advantages. Enterprises such as the Rapier Belt Factory of Aerospace Materials Co., Ltd. (formerly the Rapier Belt Factory of the 43rd Institute of the Ministry of Aerospace) have been developing high-end rapier belt products. In the past two decades, we have developed rapier products ranging from PGW, GA731, TP300 to GTM, C401, GTM-AS, SM92/93, to THEMA11E, GAMMA, PANTER, FAST, 6200 and 6300, especially full carbon rapiers. Belt series high-end products, which run at high speeds, require materials with high stiffness and strength, as well as high shear resistance and heat resistance. Domestic rapier belts have been carefully researched in material screening, formula selection, solidification molding and other aspects, and have made great breakthroughs. From the perspective of material properties, the tensile strength and flexural strength of the material are increased by about 20%, and the tensile modulus and flexural modulus are increased by about 40%. In the development of full-carbon rapier belts, a lot of experience has been accumulated and initial success has been achieved. We are striving to bring domestic rapier belts to the international advanced level as soon as possible.
