1. Pure cotton: 100% fabric, suitable for everyone .
The biggest advantage of pure cotton is that it is natural and environmentally friendly. Pure cotton clothing is usually skin-friendly, breathable, more insulating and durable. However, pure cotton T-shirts also have disadvantages, such as wrinkles easily, shrinkage, and deformation after repeated washing.
Basic regular T-shirts are suitable for pure cotton fabrics, which are easier to care for and more affordable.
2. Blending: usually 75% cotton + 25% other fibers. The “other fibers” here may include the following:
① Cotton + polyester fiber: suitable for people who don’t like or don’t have the conditions to take care of and iron frequently.
Usually called polyester, the biggest advantage of this fabric is its good wrinkle resistance. The higher the content of polyester fiber, the more wrinkle-resistant it is. T-shirts made of this kind of fabric are suitable for people who don’t like to take care of their clothes frequently. They will basically fit you after normal cleaning and drying.
Knotted T-shirts are more suitable for this type of fabric and will not wrinkle after being knotted.
② Cotton + spandex: suitable for people who are slightly fat or have unstable figures.
The characteristic of spandex is that it has good elasticity. The spandex of T-shirts made of this kind of fabric has better elasticity.
Slim-fitting and small-necked T-shirts are suitable for this fabric, but loose-fitting ones are not recommended.
③Cotton + Tencel: Suitable for people who are afraid of heat and want to wear cool clothes.
The scientific name of Tencel is “Lyocell fiber”. This type of fabric is characterized by its strong drape and silky touch. T-shirts made of this kind of fabric are cooler and suitable for hotter seasons or regions.
Suitable for making elegant casual styles, but not suitable for silhouette styles.
④Cotton + Silk: Suitable for people who like coolness and want to wear texture.
Real silk is real mulberry silk, a natural fabric, and the most skin-friendly and cool choice.
Suitable for loose and casual wear, or directly used as pajamas and other clothing.
⑤Mercerized cotton: the quality choice.
Mercerized cotton is essentially cotton, but after mercerization process, it has the advantages of cotton, but becomes as shiny as silk. Mercerized cotton T-shirts are not only skin-friendly and easy to wear, but also feel good and wrinkle-resistant. They are relatively delicate fabrics. Note that mercerized cotton is divided into single mercerized cotton and double mercerized cotton. The latter has a better texture and looks more advanced, but it is also more troublesome to take care of.
Suitable for classic and basic styles. The texture of ready-made clothes is relatively high-end.
2. The main reasons that affect the comfort of a T-shirt – workmanship
1. The craftsmanship of the collar and cuffs.
A good T-shirt will pay more attention to the craftsmanship of the collar and cuffs, and will be hemmed and fixed. The T-shirt after this process will not easily come off the line and the sleeve edges will roll up. The problem will not be a problem after three to five years.
2. Splicing processing.
Inferior quality T-shirts are usually stitched with single stitches at the splicing points, while good T-shirts are stitched with double stitches, which is more secure and avoids the awkwardness of protruding stitching inside.
3. Needle layer process.
The inferior ones generally use one needle, which only sews a fixed circle of stitches, the ordinary ones use two needles, and the high-quality ones use three needles plus twill double-layer thread sewing.

3. Slim fit
