Polyester “1” is a material. Oxford cloth “2” is mainly a textile method, which may contain polyester. Among them, plaid Oxford cloth, Tig Oxford cloth, and full-elastic Oxford cloth are all polyester Oxford cloth. Polyester Oxford cloth combines the characteristics of polyester and Oxford cloth and has a wider range of uses.

1. Polyester is an important variety of synthetic fibers and is the trade name of polyester fiber in China. It is a fiber-forming polymer made from purified terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (EG) through esterification or transesterification and polycondensation reaction. —Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a fiber made by spinning and post-processing. Polyester has a wide range of uses and is widely used in the manufacture of clothing and industrial products. Polyester has excellent shaping properties. The flat, fluffy or pleated shapes produced by polyester yarn or fabric after shaping can still remain unchanged after being washed many times during use.

Polyester is an important variety of synthetic fibers and is the trade name of polyester fiber in China.

Characteristics of polyester: 1) High strength, impact resistance 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than viscose fiber. 2), good elasticity. The elasticity is close to that of wool. When stretched by 5% to 6%, it can almost completely recover. The wrinkle resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle and has good dimensional stability. Elasticity is 2 to 3 times higher than nylon. 3), good heat resistance. 4), good water absorption. 5), good wear resistance. The wear resistance is second only to nylon, which has the best wear resistance, and is better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers. 6), good light resistance. Lightfastness is second only to acrylic. 7), corrosion resistance. Resistant to bleach, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. Resistant to dilute alkali and not afraid of mold, but hot alkali can cause it to decompose. 8), poor dyeability.

2. Oxford cloth (OXFORD), a change of plain or heavy flat tissue, can be woven with various textile fibers. Depending on the fiber and width, the price ranges from a few yuan to more than ten yuan.

Oxford cloth is named after the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. In its early days, it was a traditional combed cotton fabric used for the school uniforms. The most prominent features of traditional Oxford cloth are colored warp and white weft, double warp and single weft, 2/2 heavy flat weave, and clear color point effect on the cloth surface. Now it has become a new type of fabric with diverse functions and wide uses. Currently, there are mainly varieties on the market: set grid, full stretch, nylon, Tige and other varieties. 【600D Oxford cloth】
