Selection of silk fabric raw materials
Among silk fabrics, the warp and weft combinations are woven using fibers with the same properties, which is called “pure weaving”. Pure fabrics account for a large proportion of silk products. However, pure silk fabrics are expensive, easy to wrinkle, shrink, and have poor shape stability, which have affected the development of real silk. Therefore, designers think that silk fabrics are difficult to design, and factories think that the economic benefits are not high and it is difficult to produce. Although rayon fabric is cheap, it weakens, shrinks, and has low strength when used. In particular, the wet fastness is too poor, which also limits its application. Generally, it can only be used to weave work clothes linings, cotton-padded jacket fabrics, quilt tops, bedspreads, elephant scenes, wall hangings and other products that are not frequently cleaned and rubbed. Synthetic fiber fabrics have many advantages that rayon fabrics do not have, but their moisture absorption and air permeability are very poor, making them unsuitable for weaving underwear and summer workwear that require softness, comfort, moisture absorption and breathability. Among silk products, the most popular among consumers are various interlaced products. They have beautiful appearance, obvious features, wide adaptability, comfort and durability, and high economic benefits. However, the design is more complicated than pure spinning. When designing, we should focus on how to maximize the economic benefits of the enterprise and the normal progress of production, and also give full play to the specialties of the fiber.
