Many T-shirts will choose a thinner pure cotton fabric. For sweatshirts, terry cotton is chosen, which is thicker and more resistant to friction in order to keep warm.
4. Is there a hat?
Sweatshirts generally come with a hood. T-shirts don’t have that. Of course it’s not absolute, but sweatshirts and hats are for warmth, while T-shirts are for decoration.
