There are plain and twill weaves in Oxford cloth. What does it mean? Let’s share some knowledge with you.
Twill Oxford fabric is a weave in which the warp and weft points are continuously tilted on the surface of the fabric to form a diagonal pattern, which is called a twill weave. There are at least 3 warp yarns and 3 weft yarns in the twill weave cycle. The flying value is always equal to 1. The diagonal grain that slopes from the lower right to the lower left is called a left twill; the opposite is called a right twill. The surface of the fabric has long floating threads, and its gloss and softness are better than those of plain weave. Under the condition that the warp and weft yarn density (count) and density are the same, its strength is worse than that of civilized weave. The method of increasing the warp and weft density can be used to increase its strength.
Plain weave Oxford cloth fingers Warp yarns and weft yarns are interlaced in a one-up-down pattern, with two warp yarns and two weft yarns forming a complete weave cycle. The front and back sides have the same appearance, with the most interlacing points between warp and weft yarns, the warp and weft yarns are densely bent, and the warp and weft yarns floating on the surface of the fabric are shorter. The texture is hard, the surface is smooth and even, and there is no distinction between front and back.
